Lecture by Abdo Nawar
"Artist, Grab the Multimedia"
Language of the lecture: English

In 1986, Sho! , my first short movie, treated the relationship between humans and the computer. At the time, I imagined that this new machine, the computer, will replace the human touch and will “delete” the emotion of mankind.
Today, new questions arouse:
Are the digital tools stimulating the human emotion?
Is the digital era creating a new trend of artists?
Do the artists develop a new way of expression or do they use the new tool to avoid creativity?

This intervention, based on a personal experience, is a reflection on the digital tools and the multimedia versus arts.
